Writer by occupation.
Hotelier by profession.
Question-poser by inclination.
– Wordsmith Luwee ( August 3, 1957 – December 5, 2016)
Careers in international hotels and in BPO with intermittent projects in conference organizing and sales training manual formulation are complemented by writing, spiritual workshops, travel, animated discussions with friends over food and drink, and spells of doing nothing.
Having lived and worked in Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Xiamen, Beijing, and Shanghai meant an immersion in those cultures while remembering one’s own—a delicate balance of walking the other person’s moccasins but donning one’s own socks.
Travels in Europe, the US, and Asia allowed for keen observation of sites and of people’s varied reactions to the same sites.
Layers of perspectives come from an interest in books, music, theater, cats, and spirituality.
Endless curiosity plus standby sense of humor add to the jolly mix.
